On March 23, 2010, I received a veteran form filled out by Ronald James Scioli's sister, Annette O’Brien.  According to the form, Ronald James Scioli attended Hackensack High School from 1961 to 1964 when he graduated.  He served in the Army Airborne Division from 1965 to 1967 during the Vietnam War

Ronald James Scioli was a Private First Class and served in combat receiving a Combat Infantry Badge and the Parachute Badge.  The last two badges gives us some understanding of the depth of his service. Ronald James Scioli also received the Vietnam Service Medal and the Purple Heart

Ronald James Scioli’s sister, Annette O’Brien, thanked us for the work we do here at Hackensack High School by paying tribute to our servicemen. When we recognize a man like Ronald James Scioli for putting himself in harms way and receiving the Purple Heart, so we can enjoy our freedoms, we can only think of thanking him for his service.
